Puddle Cruiser

I picked this up the other day because it's made by the "Super Troopers" guys -- seemed like a safe bet when I saw it in the $7.49 box at the local Circuit City.

It started off a little shakey -- dialogue was a little George Lucas-ish but they really got into the grove as it went along. And, per Broken Lizard's norm (at least the ones I've seen), there's some really funny crap in there that you gotta stay on your toes to pick up.

So, yeah, besides now being in love with the girl who played Suzanne (Kayren Butler [IMDB]), I really enjoyed the flick. Kayren reminds me *a lot* of Andie MacDowell [IMDB] from her "Hudson Hawk" days.

It was also kind of a trip to see the guys "out of uniform" since the only other one of their movies I've seen so far is "Troopers".

As for the MPAA rating: Honestly, I've seen some PG-13 stuff lately that's a lot worse than the "R" they gave this movie -- don't quite get that but whatever.

The screen-caps below won't mean much to you until you've watched it, but they're basically shots of the Broken Lizard guys, plus a few of my favorite scenes. (The captions are in the "alt" tags so hover over the pic to see it.)
